The executive producer of the hit series Drive to Survive has confirmed that the Christian Horner scandal will be addressed next season, but problems could arise.
Netflix cameras have been filming in Bahrain and Saudi Arabia, and while the new season hasn’t been officially announced yet, it will likely be released in February next year.
Executive producer James Gay-Rees acknowledged the challenges Netflix faces when it comes to Horner’s situation, telling The Telegraph: “We won’t be able to get past this scandal, we’ll have to refer to it to some extent.
Everyone wants us to tell it a certain way, follow a certain line, so that everyone will be happy, both Netflix and us, so that we can sleep well at night with the decisions we’ve made.
You have to keep the balance. For now, Horner seems to be on the winning side, but it doesn’t seem like it’s over. There is a sense that there is a continuation, and yet we don’t know what will happen in the end. He jokingly blamed Netflix for the incident. That’s exactly what he said: “It’s all your fault!”
