Red Bull advisor Helmut Marko thinks Ferrari will struggle in today’s race…
Helmut Marko: “Ferrari did a great job in qualifying. But we lost quite a bit. Three tenths – this is due to the slipstream, in reality we lost no more than a tenth. Until the final there was a level fight and in the final Ferrari used a slipstream, so our gap is not as big as it seems.
Anyway Carlos starts behind because of a penalty and could have sacrificed a lap – it was a smart decision on their part and we wanted to get the highest possible positions for both drivers.
Let’s see what will be the alignment of the forces in the race. We have already seen some problems with Ferrari engines. With such heat, they are unlikely to run the risk of covering the entire distance at full power. Honda engines don’t have such problems, we don’t doubt their reliability.”
