Lando Norris: Suzuka is one of my favorite songs

In the final round in Australia, McLaren achieved its best result of the season thanks to the third and fourth places of Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri. Now the team’s drivers are looking forward to the upcoming Japanese Grand Prix with optimism.

Lando Norris: “I’m looking forward to the Japanese Grand Prix at one of my favorite circuits. It’s always great to see local fans full of passion. Moreover, at this stage we will have a special color scheme of the car, which will look cool.

Last week I returned to base in Woking and the whole team celebrated the result of the Australian Grand Prix. In addition, we studied the collected data and prepared for the next race together with my engineers.

A good start to the season for our team. We are focused on moving forward and continuing to compete with our opponents.”

Oscar Piastri: “Next race at Suzuka! I have pleasant memories of the Japanese Grand Prix, because it was at this circuit that I stood on the podium for the first time with my partner. After fourth place in Australia, where we fought well, the team is determined to keep improving to achieve another good result.

I really like the color scheme of the car we use in Japan. In addition, I want to see the fans as soon as possible and immerse themselves in the great atmosphere. Suzuka is a great place and a great track.”

Andrea Stella, team leader: “After a successful performance in Australia, we are heading to Japan. Suzuka has an interesting circuit, one of the most beloved racing circuits. The racing features provide challenges, but make for interesting racing.

We have performed well at this track in the past, but we must not forget the steps that still need to be taken. However, finishing on the podium in Australia was a good reminder that the team is on the right track and we just have to stay focused and stick to the plan and the results will take care of themselves.”
