The business magazine Forbes has published a list of businessmen whose net worth will exceed $1 billion by 2024. Several Formula 1 representatives were present, including Mercedes team leader Toto Wolff.
Wolff, who in addition to his leadership owns a 33% stake in the Formula 1 team, has seen his fortune rise by $600 million to $1.6 billion in the past 12 months.
Among other businessmen linked in some way to Formula 1, the list included Red Bull co-owner Mark Mateschitz ($38.9 billion and 33rd in the world rankings), Ferrari co-owner Piero Ferrari (8 .6 billion and 295th in the world ranking), Aston Martin’s main shareholder Lawrence Stroll (3.9 billion and 809th in the world ranking), Ferrari CEO John Elkann (2.6 billion) and former head of championship management Bernie Ecclestone (2 .4 billion).
