In Australia, after Friday’s accident at Williams, they were forced to put Alex Albon behind the wheel of Logan Sargent’s car. In Suzuka, the American told us which car he will drive this weekend…
Logan Sargent: “I’m going to race in Albon’s restored car. We do not have the opportunity to select two chassis – the load on the mechanics is already high. But the car repair went better than expected, there is no reason to worry. Alex’s chassis is slightly heavier than mine, about 100 grams – which is almost nothing.
The team plans to make a spare chassis for the Miami Grand Prix, so we won’t have that here or in China.
You always have to think about what is best for the team. Of course every driver wants to take a car to the track to compete, but I know everyone in the team is working as hard as they can. I don’t blame anyone. I make mistakes, the team makes mistakes, but we move on. Hopefully it will be better this weekend.”
