McLaren Racing CEO Zak Brown most often flies the Formula 1 team to the World Cup stages, but there are exceptions, and this weekend is one such case.
From April 5 to 7, the Mugello Classic will take place in Italy at the autodrome of the same name – a race of historic vehicles, which opens the season in this very interesting category of motorsport. The event pits Brown against Richard Dean, his friend and co-owner of the United Autosports team, and together they race two cars from Zach’s personal collection.
This is a 1989 Jaguar XJR-10, a sports prototype that belongs to the cars of the now defunct Group C. This car once won many endurance races in the American IMSA series in the late 80s. Brown and Dean also drive a Porsche 935, a sports car that won the 1982 24 Hours of Daytona and the 12 Hours of Sebring.
