We already mentioned that Daniil Kvyat went through a bowel movement in the Hezeberg team’s NASCAR car. Tuesday night Moscow time came confirmation from across the ocean that Daniil would make his NASCAR debut this weekend – on July 31, Kvyat will start his first race in the US race series at the road version of the Indianapolis circuit.
The Russian driver will drive the Hezeberg team’s Toyota #26. Significantly, Hezeberg, who is in his rookie season in NASCAR, will be fielding two cars for the first time this weekend. Daniil’s partner becomes Loris Hezemans, the main pilot of the team.
Daniil Kvyat: “I am very excited to make my NASCAR debut at the Indianapolis track. I’ve always loved this championship, which is the leading race series in the US.
I want to succeed and I hope to fight for wins and titles in the future. I am grateful to everyone on the team for this opportunity. The guys have worked hard to get the car and I ready for the debut.
This is my first time in Indianapolis, so I’m looking forward to getting to know the track personally. Based on what I saw in the video, the track is pretty tough, but I’m ready for the challenge and performance in the NASCAR Cup Series.”
