Hamilton’s long and successful partnership with Mercedes will come to an end at the end of this season. The Briton does not yet know whether he will be able to join Ferrari immediately after the end of the season to participate in tests, but he will assist Mercedes until the last race.
Lewis Hamilton: “I think it all starts with a conversation with Toto. In 2012, after I announced my move to Mercedes, I didn’t get the chance to work in the team until December, when we were adjusting the seat. I don’t know yet how it will turn out this time.
The most important thing for me now is to help Mercedes. I spend all my energy on this. Of course I look forward to the future, but now we are in a difficult situation – and this is my challenge. All my energy goes into helping the team find a way to get back to the top.
First of all, I’m a racer, I want to win. And thinking about next season doesn’t help me with that.”
