Note that Sainz will leave Ferrari after the end of the current season. His place will be taken by Lewis Hamilton, seven-time Formula 1 champion, who drives for Mercedes.
Sainz currently occupies fourth place in the overall drivers’ standings with 55 points. Red Bull’s Max Verstappen leads with 77 points.
