RB drivers Daniel Ricciardo and Yuki Tsunoda are optimistically looking forward to the Chinese Grand Prix. The team is confident that they can compete for points on the circuit in Shanghai.
Daniel Ricciardo: “I’m really looking forward to returning to Shanghai. It’s been five years since my last race and I selfishly want to get back to the track I love. In addition, I am sure that Chinese fans also want to see Formula 1. Guanyu Zhou has already announced that all tickets are sold out, so the atmosphere in the stands will be great.
The first sprint weekend of the season will bring certain difficulties, but will also offer additional opportunities. I’m ready to get behind the wheel again!”
Yuki Tsunoda: “I am excited about the Chinese Grand Prix as it is the first time I have competed at this circuit. Moreover, we have a sprint weekend ahead of us, so it will undoubtedly be difficult.
At the same time, we have had several successful races recently and we are in good form, so I am confident and my goal is to reach the final qualifying and earn points.
I must say that the Chinese circuit looks unique, especially the long first and second corners, so monitoring tire wear will be a key factor in the race. We have a good car, we just need to make it work. I’m excited about the upcoming meeting with Chinese fans!”
