Red Bull Racing’s statement announcing the end of its collaboration with Adrian Newey in 2025 states that the legendary designer will continue working on the RB17 hypercar project for the time being. The Dutch De Telegraaf managed to find out some details of the similarities between Red Bull and Adrian.
According to the newspaper, Newey is no longer an employee of the Formula 1 team and a one-year sabbatical period has already started during which Newey cannot work with other teams.
This means that Adrian can join Ferrari in just twelve months, if of course he accepts the offer, which will be crucial for the Scuderia in preparation for 2026, when the new regulations come into effect.
At the same time, Adrian Newey will be present at the upcoming Miami Grand Prix. Tomorrow he will fly from Great Britain to Florida, not to work on the Formula 1 podium, but to take part in promotional events dedicated to the RB17 hypercar.
