On the eve of the Miami Grand Prix, the FIA confirmed the location of three independent DRS zones on the track surrounding the Hard Rock Stadium. They have not changed from last year.
The point for measuring the distance between cars before the first DRS zone is 90 meters after the eighth corner and the system can be used 105 meters after the ninth.
The measuring point for the second DRS zone is 70 meters after turn 16, and the system can be activated 525 meters after the sixteenth.
The interval measuring point for the third DRS zone is located 15 meters after Turn 17 and the activation point is located at the top of Turn 19, just like last year.
The changes on the track are minimal. The entrance to the pit lane has been moved to Turn 19. In the third corner on the left and in the connection between the third and fourth on the right, additional gates have been installed for the evacuation of cars, as well as on both sides in the eighth and between the ninth and tenth. The departure area at Turn 5 has been modified and a new safety barrier has been built on the left between Turns 16 and 17.
