Porsche has requested permission to acquire a 50% stake in the Red Bull team, according to Motorsport-Total.

The deal was due to be announced at the Austrian Grand Prix but was pushed back at the last minute as the FIA ​​World Motor Sport Council was unable to approve engine rules from 2026 .

It is also reported that Porsche management continues to negotiate the acquisition of 75% of Sauber with team co-owner Finn Rausing.

Earlier it was reported that Audi intended to offer around 500 million euros for the purchase of the McLaren team, and Porsche intended to enter into a long-term cooperation with Red Bull in as a technical partner.
