Ferrari team boss Frederic Vasseur hopes that Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz will get the chance to challenge the Red Bull drivers, although he admits that Max Verstappen is still faster.
Frederic Vasseur: “Yesterday we lost about two tenths to Red Bull, but we will see how everything goes today. It is very important to have a good start because in yesterday’s sprint it was very difficult to chase the rivals. But if we can stay within the DRS range at the start of the race, then any scenario is possible.
The first corner on this circuit is very treacherous, and at the start all twenty cars are running into it, so of course on the first lap we have to try to avoid problems. I wish the cars still had all four wheels and both wings in place at the end of this lap! (laughs) However, everyone understands that fighting for positions is also very important, because judging by yesterday’s sprint it is quite difficult to overtake here.
