Daniel Ricciardo starts last in Miami, but hopes to bounce back…
Daniel Ricciardo: “Yesterday was a very strange day! When I took 4th place in the sprint, we naturally wanted to enjoy the moment, because for us this is a very important result. But then we had to prepare for the qualifications, in which we performed poorly – overall it was a real roller coaster!
Still, I left the track in a good mood thanks to a good result in the morning race, where I managed to hold off the attack of Carlos Sainz and Oscar Piastri. It was an interesting fight, it was fun to earn points, and overall it was much more fun to fight in the front row. Admittedly, everything went very differently in qualifying, but we are sure that the car will allow us to fight for higher positions.
Unfortunately, we are usually the last to get started due to the fine, but this just means that we have no choice and can only move forward!”
