Bad weekend in Miami for Williams

In Miami, Williams drivers earned no points, the race finished in last place for Alex Albon and the retirement of Logan Sargent…

Alex Albon (19th): “All weekend we tried to get more grip on the track, and in the race we tried to run a long stretch on one set of tires – and that didn’t work. This is probably one of the hardest races I’ve had at Williams, I have to find out why everything was so difficult.

We had a good pace, but the opponents behind us were on new tires and it was impossible to stop their attacks. The reason for departure was damage to the bottom in the previous turn. The weekend proved difficult, but the team will bring some minor updates to Imola. I hope they help.”

Logan Sargent (meeting): “I’m upset about the rally at my home Grand Prix. Before the incident the race was going well, Alex and I were a bit lacking in speed, but we were still fighting.

However, the weekend went positively from the first training. There are still small things that can be improved, but overall I got the most out of the car. I’m doing well and I’m ready to move on to the European stages.”
