Legendary British racing driver Stirling Moss died in April 2020. At the time, no memorial service was held due to Covid-19, but now – four years later.
Stirling’s son, Stirling Elliott Moss, and Helen Jane Moss, his daughter-in-law, attended the service. Jackie Stewart, Nigel Mansell, Damon Hill, actor Rowan Atkinson, Pink Floyd drummer Nick Mason, Grand Tour presenter Richard Hammond, Red Bull Racing boss Christian Horner, Formula 1 director Ross Brawn, Lewis Hamilton’s father Anthony and many others arrived . In total, more than 2,000 people gathered.
Near the abbey, legendary cars were exhibited: the Lotus 18, in which Moss achieved the famous victory at the Monaco Grand Prix in 1961, the Ferrari 250GT SWB, the Cooper T53 Lowline, the Mercedes-Benz 300 SLR. Several cars were supplied by the British Racing Club.
