Formula 1 CEO Stefano Domenicali told investors that new circuits will appear on the calendar in the coming years…
Stefano Domenicali: “There is huge interest in our races all over the world and huge demand from promoters. Our aim is to maintain an optimal strategic balance between venue options while maintaining the number of races on the calendar. Now we consider a calendar of 24 races to be optimal.
We and all of you see how the quality of organizing events has increased in recent years, how the economic effect has increased – for us and for the initiators. And the high demand for racing suggests we’ve chosen the right strategy.
It is important to find the optimal balance between the different continents that want to organize the Grand Prix. “In the next few years we will see racing on new circuits, we will confirm racing in some new places, which will be very attractive for the development of Formula 1 activities.”
