Oscar Piastri: Magnussen has set a dangerous precedent

After the finish of the sprint in Miami, Kevin Magnussen, who aggressively defended his position on the track, admitted that he deserved all the penalties he received. McLaren driver Oscar Piastri believes that such acts should be punished more severely.

“I heard his comments after the sprint in which Kevin said he deserved all the penalties,” Racingnews365 quotes Oscar Piastri. “The fact that the driver admits all his penalties shows that he consciously chose to behave in this way on track, and this sets a dangerous precedent for everyone.

It’s one thing for a driver who has been fined to say, “It’s 50/50 fault for what happened.” Or he says, “I was punished too much.” But it is very different when the driver, after receiving many fines, admits: “Yes, I deserved them all.” This is a very dangerous precedent and it is necessary to impose heavier fines for this.”
