Norris: It’s unlikely I’ll be able to compete for pole position

In the second practice in Hungary, Lando Norris showed the second time, but insisted not to exaggerate Friday’s results …

Lando Norris (2nd): “We’re in a good place here, the circuit characteristics suit our car, but in the second practice we are always a little faster than many rivals.

We have a different program, we gather information earlier than others to prepare for qualifying, which happened today, and Ferrari, Red Bull and Mercedes usually add in seriousness on Saturday morning.

We were ahead of those who lost in Paul Ricard, but it’s unlikely I’ll be able to compete for pole this weekend.

Daniel Riccardo (5th): “We were fast in both the first and second session, I hope this means we will be competitive here.

Unfortunately for the fans, I don’t think we can fight for pole this weekend. But we had a good Friday. Let’s see what comes out at the evening briefing – I hope our conclusions will allow us to add a little more. Maybe this route is just more suitable for us, so we added speed. But Friday went very well.”
