Williams announced a contract extension with Alex Albon. The team and driver have signed a new multi-year agreement, the duration of which has not been disclosed but includes cooperation in the era of the new regulations in 2026.
Alex Albon: “I am extremely happy to remain at Williams Racing and continue to work with such a team of talented and dedicated people. It has been a difficult start to the year, but since I joined Williams we have made significant progress together and I see that the changes taking place behind the scenes will put us back at the top.
This is a long-term project that I believe in and I want to do my part, so I signed a multi-year contract. It will take time to implement this, but I am confident that we are building the right team for the future and will achieve great results in the years to come.”
James Vowles, Team Principal: “Alex has a long-term future at Williams Racing, and we are happy with that. He is an exceptionally talented driver with a strong technical background and determination, and by signing him he shows his confidence in Williams as our team gradually returns to competitive form.
Ever since Alex joined us, he has shown that he can compete for results under pressure, and signing a multi-year contract is another important part of our project, allowing Williams to progress to higher positions.”
