We already told you that Pierre Gasly will perform at Imola wearing a helmet whose design is dedicated to Ayrton Senna. But the Alpine F1 driver wore the helmet for the first time last week when he drove the Toleman TG183, the car in which the future three-time world champion made his Formula 1 debut forty years ago.
Now the Alpine team has shared a short video about Pierre’s recent races at Silverstone.
Pierre Gasly: “I had the great opportunity to have this incredible experience. This machine is an excellent example of technical creativity, but also a beautiful historical monument. This is a real racing car, there are no electronics, just a steering wheel, a manual gear lever and three pedals: clutch, brake and gas. It’s easy!
I can’t even find the words to describe this experience, but I will remember it for the rest of my life.”
