At Imola, Alex Albon advanced to the second part of qualifying, and all attempts by his Williams teammate were canceled due to off-track excursions…
Alex Albon (14th): “The car felt great all weekend, the balance was as we expected, but before qualifying the track conditions changed a lot.
For the third practice we tried to change the settings, but in qualifying the wind got stronger, the tires overheated and I lost a lot of time in the last two corners. Other than that I’m happy with my round and expected to reach the final. The race will be difficult. Hopefully the weather will work in our favor tomorrow.”
Logan Sargent (no time): “Difficult weekend. All two days the wind changed constantly and in qualifying the grip turned out to be worse than in the third practice, which bothered many people, including myself.
Imola is an old-fashioned circuit, narrow and bumpy, but we managed well. I improved from session to session and hope to achieve more tomorrow.”
