The stewards have adjusted the result of Saturday’s Formula 3 sprint in Imola. As a result of the penalties, winner Noel Leon moved to third place and Oliver Goethe moved to first position.
Oliver Goethe took the lead on the final lap and crossed the finish line first, but was then given a 5-second time penalty for violating the safety car procedure. The stewards later reconsidered their judgment and overturned Oliver’s penalty, returning him to first place. Tim Tramnitz’s fine for a similar violation was also revoked.
Noel Leon was unable to hold on to second place as he was given a five-second penalty after the finish for spinning on the restart exiting Turn 17, although the drivers were instructed during the briefing not to do so for safety reasons.
After the penalty was imposed, Leon moved up to third place and passed Tim Tramnitz into the lead.
