McLaren is pleased with qualifying results in Hungary, where Lando Norris set fourth, and Daniel Ricciardo – 9th…
Lando Norris (4th): “Excellent position! I won’t say we were counting on fourth place, but I’m happy to receive this result. Very good teamwork, we were ahead of those we wanted to be ahead of. I did a good lap and I am very satisfied. I don’t think we could have done better. Tomorrow we must continue in the same spirit.
Daniel Riccardo (9th): “We are fast this weekend, which confirms the presence of two cars in the final of qualifying. But I’m not happy with the fact that I lost some speed in the final. Frankly, the car behaved better in the first session than in the third. On the last fast lap there was understeer – and the result was gone.
At night we will cover the reasons and focus on preparing for the race. On Friday we were fast in a long series of laps, so there is reason for optimism.”
