The organizers of Formula 2 and Formula 3 presented calendars for the 2025 season. Just like this year, the Formula 2 calendar will include fourteen stages in thirteen countries.
The Formula 3 calendar contains ten circuits, all the same circuits where the championship stages will take place in 2024. All stages of the youth series are held as part of the Formula 1 race weekends.
Stefano Domenicali, President and CEO of Formula 1: “The publication of the Formula 2 calendar is fantastic news. The racing series will again be part of Formula 1 during fourteen Grands Prix next season.
The pyramid structure of the youth series is crucial to the long-term success of Formula 1. This close connection between the series not only benefits our fans, who get to see even more wheel-to-wheel racing, but also the drivers who gain experience. on the Formula 1 circuits and demonstrate their talent in front of packed stands, a worldwide television audience and Formula 1 teams.
This year we will again see exciting racing at every stage, and I would like to pay tribute to the work of Bruno Michel, the head of Formula 2 and Formula 3, his team and everyone involved in the championship.
I would also like to thank the FIA for its strategic and fundamental support for this important series, as well as our long-term partners: Pirelli, Aramco, Dallara and Mecachrome. I look forward to continuing this season and another great year in 2025.”
Bruno Michel, series director: “I am happy to present the 2025 Formula 2 calendar, which will consist of the same number of stages as the current season: fourteen. This is the right balance between the European stages and road races on three continents, taking into account the costs of the teams and riders.
We have found the right balance between the old-fashioned circuits and the more modern circuits where exciting Formula 2 races have taken place in recent years. I am confident that the exciting competition will repeat in 2025.”
Mohammed bin SulayemFIA President: “The Formula 3 Championship offers young drivers from regional and national series an excellent opportunity to compete alongside Formula 1, the pinnacle of motorsport. We have another exciting calendar.
Formula 3 underlines the FIA’s commitment to developing young talent and empowering them.”
