McLaren driver Lando Norris is optimistic about the Monaco Grand Prix…
Lando Norris: “I think that, together with Ferrari, we are one of the few teams that consistently competes with two cars in qualifying and the race. A lot of teams don’t have that: one guy puts in great laps and has a good race, and the other guy doesn’t do so well.
Our strength is that we always have two cars at the top. And right now this allows us to give Ferrari a fight. If we continue in the same spirit, we can stay in this fight and look forward to more.
Now I’m about 60 points behind Max. There is still a long way to go to perform at their level. But in every phase we simply focus on achieving the best possible result. If this happens and they are correct, we can participate in the battle for the title.
At the beginning of the season we lost a lot of points, which paralyzed us, but only a third of the season is behind us, many interesting things await us.”
