McLaren is generally satisfied with the results of Friday’s practice sessions in Monaco. The team’s drivers have not expressed any specific complaints about the car’s behavior. They just noted, as always, that they still have work to do.
Lando Norris (5th): “First of all I have to say that it is simply great to drive on this track, although, as always, it is not easy. But the emotions you experience here are incredible.
I think the first day went well. It’s always difficult to get into the right rhythm in Monaco, but I think our situation is quite favorable. Several top teams show comparable speeds, although one or two are slightly faster than us. This means we have something to work on, but I think overall this is what we expected to see, so we will keep attacking.”
Oscar Piastri (12th): “Friday is behind us and I’d say the first day of the weekend in Monaco was pretty good overall. It seems that our pace is good, although the results are very close. This applies to many teams, so it is difficult to say how we stack up against our main rivals.
We have to work on some aspects of the car’s behavior and adjust the settings, but it seems we are doing well. Saturday promises to be very interesting!”
