The RB riders did not make it into the top ten at the end of the second Friday training, but are looking forward to Saturday with optimism…
Yuki Tsunoda (11th): “Another positive day. After the first training I felt good. There are a few small things that need to be improved, but that’s what training is for. For example, we can improve the braking phase to avoid sliding, especially on C5 tires; these are very sensitive to this. Otherwise everything is fine, everything is positive. The speed is there and I’m looking forward to tomorrow.”
Daniel Ricciardo (16th): “I’m happy to return to Monaco and drive on this track again. I am happy with what we achieved today, we have good speed, although it is not visible in the protocol. I hope we can compete for the qualifying finals on soft tires tomorrow.
At the end of the second training I found the right rhythm, now I have to optimize the settings. I’m looking forward to tomorrow, I’m excited because qualifying in Monaco is one of the most important days on the Formula 1 calendar.”
