Haas F1 is happy with Friday’s results in Monaco – and expects improvement on Saturday…
Kevin Magnussen (13th): “As always, the results in Monaco are incredibly tight. In this race everything depends on qualifying, so it is very important that we do everything right tomorrow.
We brought a new rear wing, the car behaves well, but everyone came here with wings that provide more downforce.
Every lap you look for an opportunity to go faster, but the track is very uneven, which makes this difficult. It takes courage to get the most out of a car, but it’s easy to overdo it and mistakes can be costly. Let’s see what happens tomorrow.”
Nico Hulkenberg (15th): “It’s incredible – for the first few laps you are simply amazed by the speed, complexity and dynamics of the circle. Friday went well, no problems from our side.
Although the car is not as fast as we would like, we have more to achieve before tomorrow. At the moment we are away from the top ten, but from a balance point of view everything is not too bad. Grip is lacking in some places, so we’ll see what we can do.”
