Aston Martin failed to qualify in Monaco. Fernando Alonso dropped out of contention in the first session, and Lance Stroll in the second…
Lance walk (14th): “I think we could have achieved more today. I showed a good lap time, which allowed me to progress to the second session, but I got stuck in traffic and lost a few tenths.
In Monaco it is difficult to overtake, so tomorrow we will have a difficult day, but we will still try to fight for the points.”
Fernando Alonso (16th): “Today I was in the wrong place at the wrong time. But this is Monaco, you always need a bit of luck.
In the first session I lost time due to traffic, but I can’t blame anyone for that; you can’t expect the traffic to disappear. Before the start of qualifying we thought that reaching the final qualification was very possible. Tomorrow is a difficult day for us, but we will seize every opportunity to win back.”
