Alpine reserve driver Jack Duane expects to sign a contract with the team until 2025. Next season there is a good chance that Alpine’s line-up will change, and Duen believes his work on the simulator and participation in tests will prove to the team management that he is ready for a full debut in Formula 1.
Jack Duane: “I want to make sure I get a place at Alpine next year. There are tasks that I have to perform not only in the simulator or on the track, but also during tests. I feel like I’m doing my best and I think I have a good chance of getting behind the wheel next year.
We have decided that I will not race this season to better prepare for Formula 1. After working in the simulator and testing at Alpine, it will be natural for me to be the team’s lead driver next year become.
Ideally, I would like to sign a contract with Alpine for 2025 and beyond. I want to continue working with them, moving forward and getting the team to the positions we want to be in.
Alpine believed in me and gave me a great opportunity and I want the chance to pay them back and achieve the results we want. It is not enough for me to just compete in Formula 1. I hope that thanks to the work we have done in the future, my team and I will be on the podium and winning races.”
