The head of Ferrari, Frederic Vasseur, dodged the question about the prospects for designer Adrian Newey’s appearance in the Scuderia, which is claimed by several Formula 1 teams, Vasseur was asked whether it is true that Newey has already received an offer from Ferrari and the team are now just waiting for an answer.
“At this moment I don’t want to comment, because every answer I give can be interpreted differently, and for me the most important thing is the stability of the team,” replied Frederic Vasseur. “As I said before: we are having a good season and going in the right direction. The most important thing for me now is the stability of the entire team, and not the interests of individual people. I am very happy with the current situation.”
When asked who else Ferrari is negotiating with, Vasseur joked: “I talk to everyone I meet in the paddock because I am well-mannered!”
