Some time ago, Formula E director Jeff Dodds hinted at the possible emergence of a new car manufacturer in the electric racing series. The Formula E press office confirmed that negotiations have recently taken place between series management and Ferrari, but the Scuderia’s interest at this stage was purely for information purposes.
“There is nothing concrete at this stage, but negotiations have taken place,” Racingnews365 quotes a Formula E official. “Negotiations with a new car manufacturer take time, so it is more of a game for the future.”
The Ferrari press service, in turn, did not confirm anything and said that at the moment the company’s interests are related to Formula 1, endurance racing and sailing – at the beginning of this year Ferrari announced the appearance of its own team in water racing.
