Mexican driver Perez extends his contract with Red Bull for two seasons

Mexican runner “Red Bull” Sergio Perez extended the contract until the end of 2026, reports the press service of the Austrian team.

The previous agreement with the 34-year-old driver was valid until the end of the current season.

“I am very happy to have dedicated my future to this great team, because driving for Red Bull is a challenge like no other, on and off the track. I am happy to be here to continue our journey together and contribute to the great story of this team for another two years. Being part of a team is a huge challenge.

We have a huge challenge ahead of us this year and I have full confidence in the whole team that we have a bright future ahead of us and I’m really looking forward to being a part of it. I want to thank everyone for the trust they have placed in me and I want to reward them with excellent results on and off the track. “I think we still have a lot of work to do, together we have to win many more championships,” Perez told Red Bull’s press service.

In the personal rankings this season, Perez (107 points) is in fifth place, 62 points behind leader Max Verstappen, who also plays for Red Bull.

Perez joined the Austrian team in 2021.
