After victory in Monaco, Ferrari hopes to build on its success in Montreal…
Frederik Vasseurteam manager: “At the beginning of the season we went to Japan full of enthusiasm after Carlos’ victory in Australia, and now we experience the same feelings in Canada after Charles’ victory in Monaco.
Everyone is extremely motivated and ready for this Grand Prix. The circuit in Montreal is very different from Monaco. There are a few slow corners here too, but overall it’s much faster, requires less downforce and allows for overtaking. But this doesn’t mean that our approach to the weekend will change one way or another.
Technically we are moving in the right direction and making optimal strategic decisions at the pit wall – the team is working as one. We managed to close the gap with the leaders even further, but the difference between us, McLaren and Red Bull is very small, in such a situation every little thing can make a difference.”
