Red Bull Racing reserve driver and RB Liam Lawson has revealed he is considering several options for next season. His priority is the contract of the main pilot, and if he is not offered a place in the RB, the New Zealander is ready to negotiate with other teams.
Liam Lawson: “I don’t know where I will be next season as there are a lot of drivers changing teams at the moment. I don’t know what position I can get, or if I’ll even get one, but I work on it every day.
I would like to work with Red Bull in Formula 1. At the moment they have the strongest team and I have been with them for six years. If I could choose, I would of course choose Red Bull, but my goal is to compete in Formula 1, so if Red Bull doesn’t have a place for me then I will go somewhere else.
Things are constantly changing in Formula 1, but the team keeps me constantly informed of the situation. I’m trying to find a place for myself in the future. I don’t want to compete in Formula 1 only if someone gets injured. I want to participate in Formula 1 because the team manager has chosen me as the main driver.”
