Yuki Tsunoda does not yet have a contract for next season. In Montreal, the Japanese driver said that he had already received several offers from Formula 1 teams, but had not yet replied because he wanted to clarify Red Bull Management’s plans for himself.
“I would like to see more obligations in the contract,” Yuki said during a meeting with the press on the eve of the Canadian Grand Prix. “I obviously have a strong bond with Red Bull and hope to get more commitment from them.
Negotiations are ongoing and first of all I want to make sure that we are on the same page with Red Bull, and only then will we see how things develop. But I’m happy with everything about RB.
It’s good that other teams are starting to become interested in me. I have already received several offers and the number is only growing. It’s great that my value in the pilot market is increasing. But still my priority is Red Bull. I want to make sure we are on the same page because Red Bull is part of my life and without them I wouldn’t be where I am today.”
