Today is an important day in Le Mans: the official technical inspections have started and the organizers of the classic 24-hour race have also turned it into a spectacular show. Everything takes place in the city center at Republic Square in front of the public and you can also watch the process online.
Mandatory inspections will take place on June 7 and 8. They will involve all 62 cars of three classes: Hypercar, LMP2 and LMGT3, and the events will be commented by Bruno Vandestik, the official representative of the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
As the process progresses, he interviews the drivers, talks about the teams and their preparations for the race, which starts on June 15. Naturally, the greatest fan interest is caused by cars from the Hypercar class, and on Friday the public saw and will continue to see equipment from BMW, Lamborghini, Alpine, Isotta Fraschini, as well as a new version of the Peugeot 9X8 hypercar.
The inspection of sports prototypes from Ferrari, Porsche and Toyota is scheduled for Sunday.
