Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz posted the fourth and thirteenth fastest times respectively in the second practice session of the Canadian Grand Prix. Both Ferrari drivers said they were unable to assess the balance of power this weekend due to the changeable weather.
Charles Leclerc (4th): “Today we could hardly discover anything, because every time I went on the track the conditions changed enormously. Still, we were able to complete quite a few laps and that is positive.
I’m looking forward to Saturday’s sessions. In qualifying we will try to bring all the components together.”
Carlos Sainz (13th): “Typical Canadian Friday – the weather was constantly changing, therefore the track was dry or wet. Despite the constant change in track conditions, we were able to complete quite a few laps on both slicks and medium tyres.
However, it is not easy to draw conclusions from Friday’s training, so we have to focus on our own tasks and prepare as best as possible for Saturday.”
