Mercedes driver Russell won qualifying for the Canadian Grand Prix

Mercedes driver George Russell won qualifying for the Canadian Grand Prix, the 9th stage of the Formula 1 championship.

In the third segment, he achieved his best lap in 1 minute 12 seconds.

The second will begin Max Verstappen (Red Bull), who achieved the same time, finished third Lando Norris (“McLaren”)

Both Ferrari drivers retired in the second segment: Charles Leclerc qualified 11th, Carlos Sainz – 12th.

The Red Bull driver failed to make it out of the first segment. Sergio Perez who showed the 16th time.

The race on the Montreal circuit will take place on Sunday, starting at 9:00 p.m. (Moscow time).
