Japanese runner Yuki Tsunoda has extended his contract with the RB team for the 2025 season, according to the Formula 1 website.
“I am very happy to stay at RB.” It feels good to be able to decide my future so early in the year. For this, I would like to thank everyone at Red Bull and Honda who have played an important role in my career and will continue to do so.
The team has a big development project ahead of it and I am happy to be part of it. It’s nice to know that everyone appreciates the work I’ve done and that the team believes I can help them improve their results. We have already made clear progress this season and that really motivates me to always give my best.
For now, I am focusing on the remaining races of this season with the aim of gaining as many points as possible, constantly growing with the team and laying the foundations to achieve even more next year. Tsunoda said.
Tsunoda, 24, has been competing in Formula 1 since the 2021 season. The Japanese’s best result is fourth place at the 2021 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.
This season, after eight stages, Tsunoda has scored 19 points and ranks 10th in the individual rankings.
