During yesterday’s qualifying, Lando Norris posted the third fastest time and believes that from the second row of the grid he will have a good chance of at least fighting for a podium, if not for victory.
Lando Norris: “We are capable of a lot and this is inspiring. There can be many different types of events, especially as the weather promises to be changeable, making it difficult to say what to expect. Our car has worked very well all weekend, we are starting from a very favorable position and I intend to continue.
We will in any case make such an attempt and make every effort to do so. If the rain does not start, we will have to try to avoid all kinds of problems, and let’s hope that the team will develop effective tactics.
Admittedly, on this track our car is a bit inferior to Mercedes in terms of pace, so we will see if we can compete with them. But if my partner and I manage to coordinate our actions, we have a good chance of moving forward.”
