The reigning Formula 1 champion is unrivaled at Circuit Gilles Villeneuve.

Max Verstappen will increase his lead among competitors in the 2024 Formula 1 championship. The Red Bull driver won the ninth stage, which took place in Montreal, Canada at the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve.

Following the Dutchman, who won his sixth race of the season, Lando Norris from McLaren and George Russell from Mercedes finished the Canadian Grand Prix.

Let’s remember that Ferrari pilots had unsuccessful careers. Charles Leclerc had engine problems and retired on the 43rd lap. The Scuderia suddenly decided to change Leclerc’s tires to slicks mid-race before the rain intensified. After two laps, Charles again went for the intermediate tires. As a result, the team ended the racer’s suffering ahead of schedule.

The fate of the race was decided on lap 48 when Norris pitted. And although he left Verstappen first, Lando was cautious entering the wet part of the track. Because of this, Max easily came out on top.
