Haas boss Ayo Komatsu has already been critical of Kevin Magnussen and the European press is actively discussing the possibility of the Dane leaving the team at the end of the season. Kevin also admits that he will be without a contract in Formula 1 in 2025.
Kevin Magnussen: “Yes, there is a risk that I will be without a contract. Haas knows me well, so I don’t think I have anything to prove to the team. The pilot market is open, so we’ll see how this all plays out.
I have made it clear that I want to continue driving for Haas. The team is in good shape and has good prospects for the future, so I would like to be part of that future.
I don’t know how much time will pass before the decision is announced. Until then, I’ll just keep flying. I have no deadlines. I want to continue competing in Formula 1 and although this possibility exists, I don’t want to think about other options.
But whatever happens, I can handle it. In difficult times it is important to stay positive and calm. When I was younger, I felt more stress and pressure. Now I have learned to ignore these thoughts, get in the car and fly as best I can.”
