Former Formula 1 team owner Eddie Jordan said on the Formula For Success podcast that Max Verstappen would have beaten both Ayrton Senna and Michael Schumacher in the same cars.
Eddie Jordan: “I really believe that if you could put Senna, Schumacher and Max Verstappen in the same car in the same race, at the same time, Max would win. He is very good, fast and experienced.
I was lucky enough to find a guy called Da Silva in 1982 – he first started with me at Silverstone in a Formula 3 car… in fact… we went to Macau in ’83 and this guy Da Silva won the race, after changing his surname to Senna. So yes, I had Senna in the car. Yes, I had Michael Schumacher in the car.
I don’t just owe Max’s success to his father, who also rode in my team. His mother was an excellent kart driver and had absolute authority. She was great. So it has been in his blood from day one.”
