Carlos Sainz hoped to negotiate a new contract with Red Bull Racing or Mercedes, but the champion team extended the contract with Sergio Perez and Toto Wolff refused, making it clear that the priority was the contract with Kimi Antonelli.
However, Carlos is not discouraged and assures that he is considering all available options, each of which is attractive in its own way.
Carlos Sainz: “I cannot make the details of the negotiations public and do not want to comment on them at all, so that the press does not make big headlines from my words. I can only say that all the options I have are all good, and I am happy that I can choose my future in Formula 1.
I don’t think many drivers over the years of their careers have had the opportunity to choose which team they will spend the next two or three years with.
Everyone I negotiate with really wants me on their team. This makes me proud and positive for the future.”
