John Elkann: This is a historic result

Maranello summarized the triumphant weekend at Le Mans, where the Ferrari works team AF Corse won the 24-hour marathon, also known as the fourth stage of the World Endurance Championship, for the second year in a row.

This is the Italian brand’s eleventh overall victory at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in all the years that the Ferrari factory team has participated in the most famous and prestigious endurance race in the world of motorsport.

The Ferrari 499P hypercar with registration number 50 crossed the finish line first to the applause of 329,000 spectators – setting a new attendance record at Le Mans and a well-deserved victory for the crew of Niklas Nielsen, Miguel Molina and Antonio Fuoco.

Third place went to the #51 crew, who finished in just 36 seconds to take third, driven by last year’s Le Mans winners Alessandro Pier Guidi, James Calado and Antonio Giovinazzi.

John Elkann, President of Ferrari: “First and third places at Le Mans are proof of how teamwork allows us to achieve excellent results. I would like to thank everyone who has shown courage and real tenacity during this most difficult 24 hours.

I am very happy that with last year’s success and this victory, all Ferrari drivers have reached the top step of the podium at Le Mans, and this is an achievement for the entire Ferrari company. Only a very well-coordinated and targeted team can achieve this historic result.”

Antonello ColettaFerrari WEC program manager: “We returned to Le Mans and won the race again, the eleventh time in history that Ferrari has won the overall title, which is an incredible achievement.

This is the result of a huge effort from the entire team, confirming that last year’s success was no fluke. Until the fourth WEC round since the start of the season, we had not yet reached the top step of the podium in 2024, but now we have won the most important race again. We are very proud of this achievement and I would like to thank and congratulate the entire team, all the riders and everyone who supports our project.”
