Oscar Piastri in his social networks denied the information that from next season he will play for “Alpine in Formula 1.
Earlier, the racing series press service reported that the Australian would replace Fernando Alonso in 2023, who has signed a long-term contract with Aston Martin.
– As far as I know, the Alpin team issued a press release without my knowledge, in which it was said that I would play for the team from next season. It’s not true. I have not signed a contract and I will not be an Alpine pilot in 2023,” wrote Piastri.
The Australian is a reserve driver for Alpin and reigning Formula 2 winner.
