Red Bull Racing is happy to continue the European part of the season…
Max Verstappen: “We return to European racing, this week me and the team were at the base preparing for the Spanish Grand Prix which will be the first in a series of three races in a row.
In Barcelona I will perform for the first time with a new orange helmet – as a sign of respect for my fans and their support. They are also depicted on it – the final design looks very cool.
I have great memories of this circuit, especially my first win in Formula 1. Great combination of fast and slow corners, our car has always been fast here, I hope it will be the same this weekend.
We want to continue the momentum we have built in Canada, so we are looking forward to the weekend and hoping for good weather!”
Sergio Perez: “I understand that after the failure in Canada I really need a good weekend in Barcelona. Sometimes you have to rebuild, and we did that after Montreal. I came to the base in Milton Keynes, worked with the team and tried to identify where and what could be done better to get the best out of the car.
I am confident that I could have performed better, now I have to demonstrate this in Barcelona.
I have always liked the Spanish Grand Prix, I feel at home here. I know this track well, the RB20 has to be fast, so it all depends on us. We have to do everything right and achieve the results we are capable of.”
